I prefer having some open cabinets. Even though I preach the “less is more” philosophy, I love what I like to call charming clutter on shelves. I had my carpenter add bead board in the cabinets and new white shelves with flat fronts. Very clean and tailored. When you love your dishes as I do, I want to show them off. Open shelves also make for easy access. With my kitchen being so much smaller in the condo, I wasn’t able to have my stacked baskets for potatoes and onions. I found these canisters for the counter that marry so well with the stone backsplash. I’m thrilled with the new look.
